ThePod

Dan, Tori and I have now been podcasting for one year! Our intent is to present the perspective of the millenial scientist in today's world. Equiped with objective reasoning and the questioning minds of scientists, the three of us hope to provide a unique insight into today's most pressing issues in science and public life.

OurMission

With degrees in Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and Political Science, the two of us hope to communicate the technical folcrums on which many a policy debate pivot. Hopefully our podcast will break down two stigmas:

1) Science is inaccessable to the common person, and

2) Politics should be left to the folks in Washington. Through our discussions, often with guests much more interesting than Dan and myself, we hope to give our audience the basic knowledge required to understand a wide variety of problems facing everyone on a global, national, and local level.

Dan and I like to say "We take the issues serriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously", an attitude which we find dissapearing from today's political attitude. Laughter is commonplace in 304, but so to is serious concern about issues such as Climate Change, Anti-Vaxer movements, underepresented groups in STEM, and lack of voter turnout in local elections. Beyond providing the working knowledge required to understand these topics, the two of us like to provide ways listeners can take action and change the world for the better.
